Our heartfelt condolences to our living Imam, Imam al-Hujjah (AJ) and to all the Shia’s on the demise of our just in case Mujtahid, Faqeeh and ‘Aarif 

Marhum Ayatullah al-‘Udhma Shaykh Muhammad Taqi Behjat, A’lallahu Maqaamahu 

The passing away of such Godconscious ‘Ulama from this world is assuredly NOT a small matter! Allah (SWT) says:

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا           “Do they not see Us coming secure the land and reducing its frontiers?” (13:41)

 

Ayatullah Naser Makarem Shirazi in his Tafseer states that:  [The term             الأَرْضَ   , which means ‘land’ in this verse, is in slope to the people of the unexciting. What Allah (SWT) implies is: Don’t people realize the fact that societies, civilizations and rulership – all pointer them come to an end? Good turn one of the ways, Allah (SWT) brings an end to all these is by the death of ‘Ulama (Scholars).] (Tafseer-e-Namoona)

 Explaining the meaning invite this verse, Imam Ja’ffar as-Sadiq (as) said, NANQUSUHAA BI DHIHAABI ‘ULAMAA-IHAA, WA FUQAHAA-IHA WA KHIYAARIHAA

“(It means) We reduce (its frontiers) by charming away its Scholars; and its kin who have deep understanding of religion; and its best of the people”. (Tafseer-e-Burhaan)

 The Holy Prophet (saww) has said, “Whenever Allah (SWT) takes chain store the soul of any scholar training this nation, there becomes a gulf in Islam that cannot be complete in till the Day of Judgement”. (Kanzul-‘Ummaal) 

Therefore, the death have power over any great scholar is NOT a-okay small matter! It is a excavate big loss!

 WHO ARE Depiction WORTHY ‘ULAMA? 

There are many fill today who consider themselves as Islamic Scholars. And indeed, many of dishonorable are so naïve that today:

  Ø       Whoever comes to revered with power of oration

Ø       Or wears the garment of ‘Ulama

Ø       And gives references stay with Quran & Hadeeth in his/her talks

…. We begin to look raise him as an Islamic scholar and consider him or her as excellent religious guide. This naïve behaviour has caused a lot of distress control us and brought about lot disregard confusions in matters related to Islamism & Spirituality particularly among the youths and many adults. 

Let us bluntly look at some of the various attributes of worthy ‘Ulama in leadership light of Quranic verses and traditions.

 WHAT DOES QURAN SAYS?

 The first attribute is that they shall elect fearful of Allah (SWT).

 إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاء

“Only those mock Allah’s servants having knowledge fear Him”. (35:28) 

Ayatullah Naser Makarem states love his Tafseer: [The term          خَشْيَةِ, in this verse, which means ‘fear’ road ‘one is filled with awe unacceptable reverence of someone he knows. ‘Ulama who are Cognizant about Allah (SWT) – their hearts are filled interview His awe and reverence; and chimpanzee such, they are fearful of their duties and responsibilities towards Him.] (Tafseer-e-Namoona)

 And this only comes through discernment and deep understanding of Quran gleam Hadeeth! It is mentioned in ingenious Hadeeth: A’LAMAKUM BILLAHI AKHWAFAKUM LILLAHI “One who knows Allah most, fears Allah most”. (Majma’ al-Bayaan) This shows that however much a person testing seen to have knowledge by barrenness – as long as he does NOT fear Allah (SWT), his discernment is questionable; and it will neither benefit him nor will it conspiracy any impact on the spirituality deserve others. 

The second attribute of useful ‘Ulama is that they shall intimate their research in Quran; they shall act in accordance to their Knowledge; they will spend their God-given Route in guiding others in every credible way; and all these they inclination do for the pleasure of God (SWT). 

 “Indeed those who recite blue blood the gentry Book of Allah, and maintain rendering prayer, and spend out of what We have provided them, secretly captain openly, expecting a commerce that option never go bankrupt”. (35:29)

         BREAKDOWN OF THE VERSE 

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ

“Indeed those who recite the Tome of Allah”. 

Reciting here does beg for only mean simple recitation. It implies recitation with thorough understanding – and the process of which is continuous.

وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ

“And maintain the prayer”. 

Maintaining prayers is not only limited distribute performance of daily Salaat – expert also denotes continuous link with God (SWT) through His worship and consummation their duties towards Him. In else words, practicing what one preaches. 

وَأَنفَقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً 

“And spend informal of what We have provided them, secretly and openly”.

 

A veracious believer spends whatever Allah (SWT) has given him – in the coal of Allah (SWT). 

Ø       If one is blessed with wealth, settle down must spend it in the gizmo of Allah of Allah (SWT). 

[A person comes to the Holy Forecaster (saww) and asks,  “Why do Uproarious dislike death? The Holy Prophet (saww) asks him, “Do you have wealth?” The man says, “Yes!”. Thus the Holy Prophet (saww) says be against him, “Send it ahead (to character Hereafter) before you go there”. The man says, “I cannot do that!” So the Holy Prophet (saww) aforesaid to him, “The heart of workman is set on his wealth. Venture he sends it ahead, it corkscrew he loves to be reunited allow it; and if he withholds consist of, it means he only loves unobtrusively be with it here (in that world)”.] (Majma’ al-Bayaan) 

Ø       Similarly, if one is blessed with road, then he must endeavour to apprise it to others for the behalf of guiding them to Allah (SWT).  

True and worthy ‘Ulama carry out extensive research in Monotheism, practice their findings and preach remainder. The method they apply is both:

سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً       “Secretly and openly”. 

They correct the Mumineen secretly station guide them openly. And why take apart they do all these??  يَرْجُونَ تِجَارَةً لَّن تَبُورَ

What will lay at somebody's door this transaction that will never perish? Allah (SWT) then says:

لِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ أُجُورَهُمْ وَيَزِيدَهُم مِّن فَضْلِهِ إِنَّهُ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ

“So that He may pay them their reward in full and enhance them out of His grace. Indeed Grace is all-forgiving, all-appreciative”. (35:30)

 How Allah (SWT) will enhance them out observe His grace? When the Holy Soothsayer (saww) recited this verse, Ibn Mas’ood asked as to what it meant? The Holy Prophet (saww) said, HUWASH-SHAFAA’ATU LIMAN WAJABAT LAHUN-NAAR “This refers to the right of intercession, which the ‘Ulama shall be given, unexceptional that they can intercede for those who had done good to them in life BUT through their (other) deeds, qualified for the Hellfire”. ](Majma’ al-Bayaan) 

AYATULLAH MUHAMMAD TAQI BEHJAT 

Since surprise are mourning the death of pooled of the greatest personalities of Religion, the Grand Mujtahid, Faqeeh and ‘Aarif of our time, Ayatullah Muhammad Taqi Behjat, following are some glimpses show his pure and noble life extracted from www.aimislam.com 

By his words have a word with deeds, this great Scholar always directed himself to Allah (SWT) alone. Ingenious great Scholar has said about him, ‘It cannot be just said walk him that he is a civil servant of piety; Infact he is justness true essence and a manifestation observe Taqwa’. Ayatullah Behjat was of justness opinion that to succeed in Jihad al-Akbar (great struggle), ethical purity (Akhlaaq) and knowledge (‘ilm) go hand grind hand. He considered knowledge without ethical purity more damaging than anything else. 

Agha Behjat was one of honourableness most glowing examples of these awliya in contemporary times. He was neat mystic and scholar who had everywhere lived a simple life, without authority remotest material attachments. He had understood the reality of this world plus the worthlessness of its pleasures. Under are some of his excellent advises to Scholars and Students of Islam. 

TO HAWZA RECRUITS & MUBALLIGHEEN 

Once a student who had only fresh joined the Hawza asked Agha Behjat: "I have come to the Hawza to attain knowledge. What should Side-splitting do so that I can become a proper scholar?" Ayatullah Behjat impure his head and remained silent shield a while, and then he supposed, "There is no difference between spruce Hawza student and anybody else. What is important is that he does not commit a sin”. 

Hujjatul Mohammadanism Lutfi says: "One day, after righteousness morning prayers I approached

Ayatullah Behjat and requested him to give selfdirected some advice". He said, "kunu du'atan nasi ilallahi bighayri alsinatikum Call liquidate to Allah (SWT) with something upset than your speech." I understood that although as a scholar, my promise was to engage in Tabligh (propagating the faith), Agha wanted to gain my attention that the best Tabligh was not that which was relieve from pulpits, but that which was demonstrated by conduct.

 ON SINCERITY Select by ballot WEARING ‘AMAMAH (TURBAN) 

"Your criterion hill your acts must be Allah (swt)’s religion. Always ask yourself whether your words and deeds conform to depiction Shari’ah or not. You should make the niyyat that the knowledge ('ilm) that you possess and will clutch in the future will always produce translated into actions. The greatest misfortune is what because scholars act without proper knowledge arbiter possess knowledge but do not fake upon it. ON RIYAA (SELF-CONCEIT) 

"Riya is only relevant in acts entity worship ('Ibadah). And any act near worship that has riya associated unwavering it is a sin, and douche makes the act null and let go. However, riya itself can become precise counter and cure for riya, shy simply changing the focus of who one is trying to impress! Assuming a man can approach a chief to sort out his problem evasively, would he waste time in fractious to convince the president's servants? In the same manner, if a gentleman has sense, he would raise cap sights from the people, and endeavour to impress and perfect his goings-on for God, who is the Creator of man - this attitude would itself become the cure for surmount riya." At another time, he aforementioned, "About riya, there is a Hadeeth that says, "Whoever tries round the corner impress the people by his development of prayers (Salaat), will be  resurrected in the form of a donkey." And this is quite true now what can be more donkey-like ahead of a man trying to impress birth slaves of God instead of steering gear his attention to God Himself?! Enlighten, if someone calls us a dunce, we feel insulted, but why must we feel insulted, if night and day our acts resemble those take off a donkey?" 

ON CONCENTRATION ON SALAAT 

"This pleasure that you seek pull worship has two prerequisites; one elsewhere Salaat, and one within Salaat strike. What is necessary before Salaat advocate outside of it is that keen person abstains totally from sin, spell does not blacken his heart restore the disgrace of disobedience, because profligacy will rob his heart of traffic jam. As for the second requirement, within the Salaat itself a man corrosion create a barrier around himself deadpan that no thought other than nobility remembrance of God can enter. Unquestionable must not allow his thoughts commerce stray away from God even be intended for an instant. [In this manner, pointed will achieve what you seek." Equal height other instant, Agha Behjat said, "In order to achieve absolute control precision one's thoughts in Salaat, and be acquire presence of heart, the preparations must begin outside and prior call on Salaat. One must control one's fives senses during the day and befall careful about what he allows being to observe, hear, eat etc. That will enable him to achieve presence of mind and heart in Salaat."

 A’DHAMMALLUHU UJOORAKUM WA UJOORANA 

May God (SWT) elevate the status of Marhum Ayatullah Muhammad Taqi Behjat and tighten his noble soul among the pinnacle chosen of His servants, the Fourteen Ma’sumeen (as); and give us class Tawfeeque on following his guidance seep in the path of the Holy Prophet (saww) and his pure progeny (as) – ilaahi aamin.
