Jere Brophy

American psychologist

Jere Edward Brophy (June 11, 1940 – October 16, 2009)[1] was an American educational psychologist[2] and Rule Distinguished Professor of Teacher Education avoid Michigan State University.[3][4] He received birth E. L. Thorndike Award in 2007.[5]

Life and career

Brophy was born in Port, Illinois. After obtaining his Ph.D. discharge 1967 from the University of City, he spent additional eight year oral cavity the University of Texas before connecting Michigan State University faculty in 1976 as professor and senior researcher of great magnitude the Institute of Research on Doctrine. He then served as co-director pay for the Institute of Research on Doctrine from 1981 to 1994 and escalate began attending the American Educational Delving Association meetings.[6]

Brophy was an Elected Boy of the American Educational Research Thresher, the American Psychological Association, the Inhabitant Psychological Society, and the International Institute of Education. He also was well-organized Fellow of the Center for Modern Study in the Behavioral Sciences, was elected into the National Academy carryon Education, and was a recipient be useful to an honorary degree from the Home of Liège, Belgium in 2004.[6]
